Author Visits
Students respond to author visits in the BEST ways!
Get your students excited about literacy with a visit from a published author and illustrator! A visit from Veronica Stanley-Hooper includes a large format visual presentation of the book so everyone in the class can see the pages. Audience interaction! Veronica knows how to engage students while reading, so that every student is on task and learning! Every author visit includes an opportunity for your students to ask the questions that are most important to them! Free handouts are offered to each classroom teacher for pre or post visit learning fun. MPR visits are available as a choice for multiple classrooms or grade levels to join the fun at the same time. Illustration
Veronica Stanley-Hooper is the copyrighted illustrator of 15 picture books (and counting.) See her illustration portfolio for a compilation view of some of her work. She prides herself in developing unique expressive characters that add an additional storytelling dimension to an author's work. She NEVER uses AI!

Animation

Veronica knows how to bring your images to life using the latest animation techniques and software. She never uses AI! Every video is produced by hand and edited using your recorded audio or licensed music to create a one of a kind animation that you can use on your website, social media, and amazon product pages.

Art / Drawing / Illustration Lessons
Learn from a published illustrator and fine artist!
Before Veronica was an author/illustrator she was a certificated public elementary school teacher with a BS in elementary education. She knows how to teach students the basics of line art and perspective as well as the deeper concepts needed to explore acrylic and watercolor painting.
Individual lessons
If you happen to live in Santa Clarita Valley, Veronica can be available for private art lessons in-person. But don't worry, private art lessons can also be done via Zoom! Private lessons start at $45 per hour and can be set up by using this contact form.
Small or Large group lessons
If your school or organization is located in the Santa Clarita Valley or surrounding Los Angeles area, Veronica can be available for an in-person small or large group lesson. Zoom lessons are also available for those outside of this travel area. Small and Large group lessons vary in price depending on the details of the visit. Author or Illustrator Consultation
Are you an aspiring author or illustrator? Do you have questions about how to get your concept from manuscript to book-in-hand? Veronica Stanley-Hooper is a published author/illustrator that has 6 independently published books and 3 books under traditional publishing contracts. (The Meanies is set to be released by Histria Kids/Simon and Schuster in Aug 2026.) She has organized and presented webinars on How to Publish Your Children's Book with a group of authors that she established as founder and leader, SCVCBAI.

Book Cover Design
Veronica Stanley Hooper can design a cover for your book that attracts the attention of your target audience.
Veronica has designed covers for both children's and adult book audiences. The covers she designs are always hand-drawn (never AI) and designed with care to best represent your book with both in-store and online book markets in mind.
